By the same token, most programs run well on any computer, however point of sale programs typically require higher quality computers to operate efficiently. Although you can use InstantPOS with any computer that meets the minimum specifications listed*, if the computer is not up to the job or not compatible with InstantPOS, you may have data integrity problems. As a result, we offer high quality affordable computers that we know work well with InstantPOS. Frankly, they do cost a little more than bargain or mail order computers, however, they do significantly reduce the probability of computer issues when using InstantPOS. Windows XP Pro, 2000 and 98 only recommended operation systems. We are currently working on Vista compatibility.
*Compatibility issues with computers purchased elsewhere are not covered in the support agreement. Such issues are handled on an hourly basis with a minimum charge.
