InstantPOS is a joint venture between NovaTek and ComputerOne. The InstantPOS software is based on NovaTek’s proven Alteris Business Management System. It is a special version with a unique setup system that allows you to start running your business with the software the very day you get it! There is no complicated or confusing setup, no need to spend weeks or months entering data before you can start using your POS system. It’s actually easier to set up than most cash registers ... and provides a whole lot more information.

Alteris has been marketed since 1993 and is used by thousand of people each day in businesses ranging from under $200,000 to around $20 million in annual sales. It is used by computer stores, gift shops, liquor stores, wholesale food suppliers, medical suppliers, audio/video stores, wallpaper stores, clothing stores, convenience stores, scrapbook stores, jewerly stores, pet stores, and is ideal for almost every retail business except for hospitality and rental (it’s also ideal for many wholesale businesses as well).

Unlike most other software developers, the programmers at NovaTek owned and operated retail stores for many years before writing software. They know what it’s like on the other side of the sales counter and wrote Alteris (and InstantPOS) to meet the needs they know business owners have.

Their partners at ComputerOne have been in the computer business since 1986 and have been involved in the testing and development of Alteris for many years.
